I love our local PBS Station, WOSU, and I love their Public Media programs and Community Outreach.
The station is taking on a topic near and dear to my heart and livelihood, Historic Columbus Neighborhoods. In a series of one hour documentaries, WOSU will tell the history of six Columbus Neighborhoods surrounding and including Downtown Columbus.
“Each episode in this series will examine the historical origins of these neighborhoods and trace their development. Prominent historical figures will be profiled, and the neighborhood’s architecture, economic base, and cultural assets will be examined.”–WOSU
The Featured neighborhoods include the Short North, German Village, Olde Towne East, the King Lincoln District or Bronzeville, Downtown and Franklinton as well as The University District
